Winning Best Paper and Best Presenter at ICOBBI 2020

Surabaya (15/7/20), two Master of Management (MM) students from the Ubaya Faculty of Business and Economics won Best Paper and Best Presenter at the 2nd International Conference on Business and Banking Innovations (ICOBBI) 2020. The conference was held by Master of Management STIE Perbanas and followed by four countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and India. A total of 62 participants presented their paper via video, which was sent to the committee. The Ubaya MM is also one of the co-hosts in organizing the International Conference.

Nency Laurence Nggai, a class 54 MM student, won the Best Paper with her paper entitled “The Influence of Utilitarian Value, Hedonic Value, and Perceived Risk on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Loyalty to Shopee Customers in Surabaya”. Meanwhile, Hayuning Purnama Dewi, a class 55 MM student, won the Best Presenter. “I present my paper entitled “The Influence of Planned Behavior on the Level of Customer Trust and Satisfaction in Determining Loyalty to Green Hotel in Indonesia,” said Hayuning.

The two MM students participated in the International Conference as a requirement in obtaining the Ubaya MM degree. Not only Nency and Hayuning participated in the conference, but there were five other MM students.

“Taking a Master of Management at the Ubaya FBE is an extraordinary experience for me, in which studying while working is a challenge that I have to solve well. And thanks to God that I can finish my thesis well, and get a bonus that I never imagined before, namely being one of the best papers at ICOBBI 2020 “, said Nency in an interview shortly after receiving appreciation from the organizer.

Likewise, Hayuning said, “I am currently in the fourth semester and working on a thesis; hopefully, it will be my last semester and graduate soon. Joining this conference is not only a graduation requirement but also sharpens my public speaking ability.
