One of MM FBE Ubaya students, Audia Citra, once again participated in the annual Global Network Week (GNAM) activity held on October 17-21, 2022 in Jakarta and Bandung. The theme this time is “Entrepreneurism and Business Growth Thriving in Turbulent Times,” attended by more than 80 participants from 10 countries.
This event featured various speakers, especially government representatives as policymakers and business practitioners. The government representative was represented by Ir. Siti Azizah, MBA from the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs. Some entrepreneurs who joined were Hanna Keraf (under the brand “Du-Anyam”), Bani M. Mulia (CEO of PT Samudera Indonesia, Tbk), and Antony Liem (Investment Partner GDP Venture). In addition to discussing with business practitioners, participants also had the opportunity to visit the Tanoto Foundation and discuss with the CEO of Tanoto Foundation: J. Satrijo Tanudjojo. From Tanoto Foundation, the visit continued to the PT Arwana Citramulia Tbk factory located in Serang and discussed with Tandean Rustandy as CEO of Arwana Ceramic. The next visit continued to the PT Kimia Farma, Tbk factory located in Banjaran – Central Java, and to the West Java Handicraft and MSME Center, which was welcomed by Meidy Mahardani as a West Java Province representative.
In this activity, Ubaya sent one student namely, Audia Citra. In the group division, Audia joined group 2, consisting of Ubaya, IIM Bangalore – India, University of Fudan – China, Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Kristen Petra, and Universitas Tarumanegara. One of the results of the analysis presented was about the potential of the tourism business and suggestions to business people to collaborate and synergize higher education, the government, and local residents to revive tourism after the Covid-19 pandemic. For this reason, group 2 won runner-up at the GNAM Week in October 2022. This GNAM Week allows participants to gain insight and knowledge from various business backgrounds. Participants can also interact and discuss with other participants from various countries. This is in line with the main focus of learning at MM FBE Ubaya, which includes the development of academic qualifications according to students’ areas of expertise (hard skills) and the development of managerial, leadership, and ethical competencies (soft skills).
