On Saturday, 29 May 2021, the Ubaya Master of Management (MM Ubaya) invited an international business practitioner to deliver a public lecture for the Ubaya academic community. This time, MM Ubaya invited a Vietnamese business practitioner, namely Khoi Nguyen. Khoi is a business analyst with a background in economics and public policy who graduated from Deakin University Australia.
Besides a business practitioner, Khoi is also a lecturer at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities HCMC that is part of the Vietnam National University, HCMC. This time, Khoi shared his experience on how Vietnam can become one of the countries that successfully deals with the Covid-19 pandemic with positive economic growth.
In his presentation, Khoi described that the Vietnamese government carries out decisive action of strict tracing of the Covid-19 victims, disciplined use of masks, and social distancing, resulting in a small number of Covid-19 victims in Vietnam. Even so, economic growth can still be maintained positively. This certainly provides engaging lessons for other countries, especially Indonesia, where the Covid-19 case is still high.
In the future, MM Ubaya will remain committed to organizing seminars for practitioners/academics both from within and outside the country in order to improve the learning quality and broaden the horizons of MM Ubaya students.
