Adi Nurani (TeachManner and Sharpen Conscience), which is a debriefing for new students, was held again on Saturday-Sunday, February 18-19, 2023, themed “Abinaya Abyakta Acintya” meaning that a person must have the spirit to continue to grow in order to surpass everything that limits individuals.
The Adi Nurani event was carried out offline at the UBAYA Training Center (UTC) Trawas, Mojokerto. The first day was filled by FBE Ubaya Dean’s (Dr. Putu Anom Mahadwartha, S.E., M.M., CSA) remarks, who also delivered the first session about FBE Ubaya’s Vision and Mission, Ubaya facilities, FBE values, multicultural, accreditation, and international membership, the FBE introduction, and so on. Then continued with the second event session about learning strategy seminars at FBE Ubaya Postgraduate Schools by each Head or study program. For the Master of Management (MM) study program department, Mr. Dr. Werner Ria Murhadi, S.E., M.M., CSA, talked about the MM profile, points of interest, credit units, Ubaya facilities, thesis flow, DIKTI, to MM curriculum. Then in the third event session by Henry Hermawan, S.T., M.Sc. discussed the introduction of learning platforms at Ubaya, including the Vision and PPKP program, Ubaya Learning Space (ULS) to how to use PPKP tutorials and other PPKP services. Then participants did outbound, which combines intelligence, physical and mental for team building (a form of improving collaboration, solid, synergy, and cohesiveness of a team or group), teamwork (a form of teamwork to achieve common goals), communication (processes and procedures for conveying the correct information to a person or group), leadership (the power and process in influencing a person or group to achieve the desired goal), concentration (increased focus and memory), creativity (increased creativity or new ideas to be developed), strategic planning (planning to achieve goals or objectives), analysis (the ability to examine and investigate something), to confidence (increase students’ confidence). Then, the fourth session, “Abinaya Abyakta Acintya” was presented by Dr. Drs. Wiyono Pontjoharyo, M.M., Ak., CMA.
On the second day, the event continued with the Master of Accounting session by Dr. Bonnie Soeherman, S.E., M.Ak. discussing FBE culture, curriculum for each learning, concentration or elective courses, lecture methods, to study targets. Then continued by Dr. Deddy Marciano, S.E., M.M., CBC, CSA, CIB, CRP, who discussed the values of Ubayaan as a foundation for facing the VUCA era, the COVID pandemic causing a tsunami of economic crises, critical thinking, thinking strategies, creativity, innovation, communication, leadership, and much more. The seventh session was sharing sessions with alumni. Two alumni were invited to the event: Mr. Drs. Yuwono Laksmana, M.M., M.Ak. and Mrs. Dr. Susan Sutedjo, S.E., M.M., M.Ak. Mr. Drs. Yuwono Laksmana, M.M., M.Ak., talked about his optimism from an early age and efforts to develop his knowledge to run as well as possible, especially in utilizing it in the business world. Then the next alumni sharing was continued by Mrs. Dr. Susan Sutedjo, S.E., M.M., M.Ak., explaining self-development through Ubaya’s postgraduate study program. In addition, Mrs. Susan Sutedja also shared tips or ways when we are in a down phase. At the end of the event, students were introduced to the Leadership Club organization presented by the President of LC19, Zofarizal Gusfa, and Cindy Julian, about the LC work program, the benefits of joining the organization, and the management structure in LC19. The event was closed with the announcement of the winners in each category determined by the committee.
With Adi Nurani, students are expected to be ready to run life as Ubaya graduate students.
