COLLABORATION MM FBE UBAYA – APMMI

Again MM FBE UBAYA conducts collaborative activities with APMMI (Alliance of Indonesian Master Management Programs) by implementing a series of workshops involving speakers from business practitioners, namely Bank BRI, PT Pegadaian, BRI Life, and BRI Insurance. 

This workshop series was held for three days involving the speaker Mrs. Handayani (Director of Consumer Business of Bank Rakyat Indonesia), who presented the topic of Financial Planning with the theme “Pathway for Prosperity for Academics.” Other speakers were Mr. Damar Latri Setiawan (President Director of Pegadaian) and Mr. Iwan Pasila (President Director of BRI Life Insurance). 

Divided into three sessions on 14, 21, and 22 July 2023, the “Pathway for Prosperity for Academics” workshop series provided:

• Understanding investment strategies, asset diversification, and preparation before retirement age.
• Pawnshop as alternative funding and investment.
• The importance of insurance protection to ensure financial security and welfare.

BRI, BRI Life, BRI Insurance, and PT Pegadaian sponsor this activity.

The participants were lecturers, education staff, and students from 61 Master of Management programs that are members of APMMI. The theme was essential as it focused on a crucial aspect often overlooked in academic circles: personal finance and investment. Academics face unique financial challenges, including managing research grants, planning retirement, and making wise investment decisions. By inviting renowned speakers who are experts in investment strategies, this workshop series can provide academics with the knowledge and guidance needed to secure their financial well-being. 

Collaboration between the campus and the business world will be further enhanced to equip students with insights into the business world.
