On August 12, 2022, the MM FBE Ubaya study program held an open discussion with stakeholders consisting of entrepreneurs and company directors, and government representatives. This event was held at the Novotel Samator Hotel Surabaya from 6-10.30 PM and discussed various things, starting from the Strategic Vision-Mission-Objectives (VMTS), input on the curriculum to alumni’s activities with the MM FBE Ubaya study program. The input began with the strategic plan of MM FBE Ubaya in response to the development of the business landscape that has undergone many changes after two years of the Covid-19 pandemic. The pandemic has made both business and learning activities no longer need to be carried out offline but can be done from anywhere. For this reason, opening a Distance Education Program (PJJ), which provides opportunities for anyone to study at MM, is necessary.
Especially the day before, Dr. Werner R. Murhadi as Head of MM FBE Ubaya and Adi Tedjakusuma as Director of Institutional Cooperation has discussed with the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Ho Chi Minh City regarding the possibility of having a recommendation for opening PJJ with one of the targets being students in Vietnam. For this reason, an MM-PJJ preparation team has been formed, targeted to be launched in 2023, and has submitted a permit for the opening of MM-PJJ to DIKTI. In addition to discussing strategic matters related to VMTS, the meeting was filled with discussions about the curriculum to follow up a meeting with the Advisory Board in early 2022. During the meeting with the Advisory Board, the input was to make changes to the curriculum, especially related to digitalization courses which became a phenomenon during the pandemic. In addition to input on the curriculum, the event also discussed activities that can be carried out with alumni to mingle them with the MM FBE Ubaya. Those inputs from stakeholders are helpful to improve the learning quality at MM FBE Ubaya.
